KITS now offers AutoCAD evening courses – Level 2 and Level 3
Due to demand from local Employers, KITS is now able to offer Level 2 and Level
3 2D AutoCAD courses and Level 3 3D AutoCAD. The courses will be run on a
part-time evening basis at Kirkdale House, Brighouse.
Individuals, Companies or Organisations should benefit by being able to do more
with current resources with trained AutoCAD staff. AutoCAD is used in many
industries including mechanical and civil engineering, architecture, and
facilities planning and management. Many employers are using AutoCAD than any
other CAD system and hence there is a need for skilled workers who have
expertise in using AutoCAD.
Upon successful completion of the course, delegates will achieve a City &
Guilds 7579 Award.
CAD 2D (AutoCAD) Level 2 Award
If you like to design engineering drawings, then AutoCAD City & Guilds
certification is one career option for you. As AutoCAD is one of the most
popular software packages in this field, many job opportunities are available
all over the world. Upon completion of this course, the student will learn to
use AutoCAD and create accurate 2D drawings, setup drawings that can be reused,
develop template files.
This qualification aims to equip candidates with the basic understanding and
principles of 2D drawing environment, in terms of hardware, software and
physical surroundings. It will explore the typical composition of a CAD system
and health and safety matters that are associated with safe working
CAD 2D (AutoCAD) Level 3 Award
This qualification is intended to cover a wide range of 2D drawing and editing
commands and routines to aid the application and modification of the CAD
software. The user will become familiar with the necessary techniques required
to produce and edit drawings of medium complexity and prepare the drawings for
output to hard copy. It is intended that this unit can be delivered within the
context of a wide range of design and drawing specialisations. The specialised
areas can be used as a vehicle to deliver the performance outcomes, and as such
will be reflected in the assessment of this unit. Also it will cover Health and
Safety matters that are associated with safe working practices.
CAD 3D (AutoCAD) Level 3 Award
This qualification is concerned with developing the ability to apply the
drafting procedures required to create and modify existing 3D objects either
surfaces or solids at any position within Three Dimensional Space. Also it will
cover Health and Safety matters that are associated with safe working
Course fees are £640.00 + VAT per person and courses commence on Thursday 8th January 2015 and will run for 25 weeks from 5.45pm to 8.45pm each Thursday.
